PriceMux — Notice at Collection
Effective Date: 2026-05-19 Last Updated: 2026-05-19
Provided pursuant to Cal. Civ. Code §1798.100(b) and 11 C.C.R. §7012.
1. Categories of Personal Information Collected (§1798.140(v)(1))
PriceMux collects, on the merchant’s behalf, one category from the §1798.140(v)(1) list:
- (D) Commercial information: order ID (opaque Shopify GID), POS-channel boolean (derived from a cart attribute), shop ID, and timestamps. These are the only fields persisted by PriceMux. Other order-level fields present in the Shopify webhook payload (line items, shipping lines, taxes) are not extracted, stored, or further processed.
Categories not collected: (A) Identifiers; (B) §1798.80(e) records; (C) Protected classifications; (E) Biometric; (F) Internet activity tied to a consumer; (G) Geolocation (full ZIP dropped); (H) Sensory; (I) Professional/employment; (J) Education; (K) Inferences.
2. Purpose of Collection (§1798.100(a)(1))
To apply the merchant’s configured pricing rules to orders and to enforce subscription tier limits. Specific business purpose, not a generic “to provide services.”
3. Sale or Sharing (§1798.120, §1798.140(ad)–(ah))
- Sold? No.
- Shared for cross-context behavioural advertising? No.
4. Retention (§1798.100(a)(3))
- Raw per-order / per-fire rows: up to 13 months (12-month rolling window plus a reconciliation buffer of up to 30 days for billing-window disputes). Deleted thereafter by the automated retention worker.
5. Categories of Third Parties (§1798.100(a)(1)(C))
PriceMux discloses processed data only to its sub-processors listed on the Sub-processor page: Hostinger International Ltd (hosting) and Cloudflare, Inc. (edge).
6. Consumer Rights and How to Exercise (§§1798.105, .106, .110, .120, .121, .135)
